Virat Kohli pips Sarfraz Ahmed, Mohammad Amir to become the most searched cricketer in Pakistan

Without an iota of doubt, Indian cricket heartthrob Virat Kohli ranks among the finest cricketers of the current generations, if not the very best. Kohli is adored by masses all across the globe and it can be seen from his presence in a particular country and the way he pulls off crowd into the stadium.

But what’s more interesting that amidst all the political tussle, Virat enjoys a huge fan following in neighbouring country Pakistan. According to Google Trends, Virat Kohli was searched more than the current lot of cricketers in Pakistan cricket team.

According to the search results, Indian captain beat his Pakistani counterpart Sarfaraz Ahmed, pacer Mohammad Amir and batsman Ahmed Shehzad. From December 18, 2016 to December 9, 2017, Pakistan folks searched Virat Kohli more than their captain and several other key players in their own team.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Kohli started a new inning in life as he tied the knot with his long time girlfriend Anushka Sharma in a hush-hush ceremony in Tuscany on Monday (December 11). From Bollywood celebrities to Indian cricket team stars, social media was filled with congratulatory messages for the adorable couple.

However, the wishes were not just confined to India as several Pakistan cricketers also took to micro-blogging site Twitter to convey their greetings. The likes of Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Amir congratulated Kohli on his wedding while the former speedster Shoaib Akhtar wished him luck for the new innings of his life.
