England coach Trevor Bayliss reacts to Ben Ducket's latest controversy

England are trailing 2-0 in the Ashes series.

Ben Duckett is the latest Englishman to join after a disciplinary investigation with him being involved in an alcohol-related controversy in Perth. This has given their already trailing side an all the more shocking jolt.

Duckett was incidentally in England and was supposed to be a part of the squad which is to play a warm-up match against Cricket Australia XI. As a result of his involvement in the controversy,  he was dropped from the side to play the Cricket Australia XI. His place was taken by Worcestershire's Joe Clarke.

There are reports that Duckett may have poured a drink over his fellow team player which has created a storm. Thus he becomes the second English cricketer after Ben Stokes to be involved in a recent controversy, thereby dampening the image of England Cricket to some extent.

England coach Trevor Bayliss has finally reacted to another shambolic incident involving an English cricketer. Bayliss confirmed that the 23-year-old Duckett, who is part of the England Lions training team in Australia, had poured a drink on a senior England player -- with reports suggesting it was paceman James Anderson -- after a heated argument late on Thursday.

“I’m not sure exactly what more I can say. I’m sure there will be some stern words from above. It’s just not right, it’s not acceptable,” Bayliss said on Saturday.

“I might review who is in the team; can’t keep making the same mistakes,” Bayliss added, when asked if he would review the team’s curfew which was relaxed on Thursday. “Most of the guys are fine... some guys have to pull their head in.”

“I’m here to coach the team and I end up spending most of my time in front of cameras trying to explain some behavior that the boys have been warned about,” Everybody has been warned about how even small things can be blown out of all proportion. We’ve got to find out exactly what happened. I’m sure they’ll be able to get on with it.” Bayliss added.

England are already trailing 2-0 in the current Ashes series against Australia and the entire team now fussed with all this will take all their concentration out from cricket. Together it brings a possibility of a potential whitewash yet again in an Ashes series after their previous one in 2013 -14.
