West Indian talismanic all-rounder Dwayne Bravo set to replace the Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara into the Maratha Arabians squad for the upcoming Heera T10 Cricket League.

The franchise Maratha Arabians, on Saturday, co-owned by Parvez Khan of Pacific Ventures, Bollywood Actor/Producer/Director Sohail Khan and Ali Tumbi of Aqua Properties, has confirmed that they have signed Dwayne Bravo in place of the legendary Lankan batsman into the squad, as Kumar Sangakkara ruled out of the squad, citing personal reasons.

Maratha Arabians-led by former Indian cricketer and tournament Icon – Virender Sehwag, will play the world’s best-known cricketers in the six-team tournament, which is scheduled to start from 14-17 December.

Commenting on Bravo’s inclusion, Sehwag said, “It is a disappointment that Kumar will not be with us during the tournament. He is an invaluable asset for any side. We are equally fortunate to have a top-class all-rounder like Dwayne Bravo replace Kumar.”

Meanwhile, Wasim Akram, head coach of the side, said, “We are fortunate that we are able to replace an outstanding cricketer like Kumar with someone like Dwayne Bravo. Dwayne is one of the genuine all-rounders in limited-overs cricket who has really made a mark for himself. I am sure that Dwayne will add a lot of value to the side. We welcome him into the franchise with a lot of excitement.”
