Ben Duckett is the latest Englishman to join after a disciplinary investigation with him being involved in an alcohol-related controversy in Perth. This has given their already trailing side an all the more shocking jolt.

Duckett was incidentally in England and was supposed to be a part of the squad which is to play a warm-up match against Cricket Australia XI. As a result of his involvement in the controversy,  he was dropped from the side to play the Cricket Australia XI. His place was taken by Worcestershire's Joe Clarke.

There are reports that Duckett may have poured a drink over his fellow team player which has created a storm. Thus he becomes the second English cricketer after Ben Stokes to be involved in a recent controversy, thereby dampening the image of England Cricket to some extent.

Duckett in the process has become the recent victim of the team management after Ben Stokes who might face indefinite suspension and severe investigation and charges. This controversy could have high-end consequences with the other team players from the team being affected by it. The investigation is led by England coach Trevor Bayliss and Lions coach Andy Flower.

Duckett is a vastly talented young cricketer but, aged 23, he is starting to build a reputation for the wrong reasons. In 2016 he became the first man ever to win the PCA's Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards simultaneously and he made his Test and ODI debuts in Bangladesh at the end of the year.
