Harbhajan Singh is making huge statements lately. The offie who earlier commented on MS Dhoni's chances of playing 2019 World Cup has now shared his views on Virat Kohli's Test career. He feels that the Indian skipper can reach 20000 Test runs mark if he remains as consistent as he is now.

Virat is in form of his life with back to back double tons against Sri Lanka in the recently concluded Test series.

The veteran spinner had predicted earlier in 2010 that Virat Kohli will score around 10000 Test runs in his career when Indian team was in South Africa. At that time, Virat had not even made his debut in the longest format.

Harbhajan Singh thinks it's time to make a change in his prediction as the Indian skipper has raised his bar.

“I think I predicted less. He already had the ability of scoring 10000 runs and now he has the ability to score 20000 runs. Kohli has created records on his own which were never made by anyone in the history of the game.

"The way he has brought the fitness trend, the way he has been leading from the front, the way he has batted in his career so far is absolutely magnificent. He has also been disciplined off the field which is impeccable,” Harbhajan said.

The out of favor Indian spinner had praised Sourav Ganguly too for his captaincy. He rated him as the best captain he has played under. While speaking during a cricket show on news channel ‘Sports Tak’ he said, “I have played under many captains and the best captain of India I feel is Sourav Ganguly who took the reins of the team after the match-fixing scandal which had plagued the Indian cricket."

"Now the same legacy has been carried forward by Virat which is a wonderful journey. I wish him all the luck. He has got a great head on his shoulders and I am sure he won’t do anything which will affect his or team’s performance," he added.
