Hasan Ali reveals the secret behind his celebration

Pakistan has always produced world-class pace attack, and Hasan Ali is the latest fast bowling sensation, as the youngster has taken the cricketing world by a storm ever since making his debut in the game of cricket.

The 23-year-old Pakistan pacer made his international debut in 2016, and since then he has been continually made headlines with his stunning and aggressive show with the ball on the field, taking 56 wickets in 26 One Day Internationals and played only two Tests, picked 6 wickets, for his country.

During the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy in England, Hasan Ali left his deep impression by winning the player of the tournament after taking 13 wickets, and also won the Golden Ball. With 13 wickets, Ali became the joint leading wicket-taker in any Champions Trophy tournament, along with Jerome Taylor, achieving the feat in just one year after his debut.

In 2017, Hasan, who is known for his consistency, variations, and intelligence, has been the outstanding in ODIs, picked up 45 wickets - the highest for the year - at an exceptional average of 17, and a strike rate of 20.3.

In the history of Pakistan cricket, Hasan only behind the legendary pacer Waqar Younis, who has a better average - 12.63 in 1990, in a calenderer year who have the better average in the One Day cricket.

The year of 2017 has been the phenomenal year for the right-arm seamer, whose celebration style was the most discussing point across the world, and Hasan said his wicket celebration is inspired by Waqar Younis, calling him his bowling role model, as well as, his unique celebration was especially for his fans.

As per Espncricinfo, Hasan Ali revealed, “I used to follow Vicky [Waqar Younis] bhai as a kid and watch his aggression. I decided that when I will play and take wickets, I will celebrate in the same aggressive way as I saw him celebrate after getting a batsman out. I am also from a family where aggression is present. My style of celebration is especially for the fans who come to the ground leaving their job or studies. I think there should be something for them to enjoy.”

He further added, “Maybe they will think that they should come to our next match so that they get to see me do this celebration. There will also be batsmen whose style they prefer.”

Ali concluded by saying, “Waqar Younis was my bowling role model. I started off as a batsman, like most kids. The first time I saw him was in 1999-2000. Then I decided that I should learn fast bowling.”
