Legendary Australia opener David Warner has revealed that he is still blocked in Instagram by his former Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Warner posted a screenshot of SRH's profile on his Instagram story, showing the account as "private," which is what users usually see when they are blocked. Warner shared it on his official Instagram account, asking in a poll if it was indeed the official SRH account.
After a fan mentioned the SRH account in a comment on one of Warner's latest Instagram images and urged the franchise to unblock him, the issue attracted greater attention.

David Warner had a very fruitful time with the Sunrisers Hyderabad from 2014 to 2021. He even won the IPL 2016 with Sunrisers Hyderabad as captain, but things soured in IPL 2021, when he played just 8 games and was later benched and didn’t even attend the franchise games.
He also won the Orange Cap for most runs in 2015, 2017 and 2019. And he remains one of the most successful overseas batters to have played in the IPL and continues to be among SRH’s leading run-getters. In 95 matches, Warner scored 4014 runs for SRH at an average of 49.56, scoring two hundreds and 40 fifties for them in the process.
The chapter eventually came to an end ahead of the 2022 mega auction, when SRH released him from the squad. Then in December 2023, Warner had first revealed that SRH had blocked him on social media as he tried to wish Pat Cummins and Travis Head for getting huge deals from SRH.
