MS Dhoni now has most number of dismissals in T20I cricket

Indian team started well in the T20I series opener at Cuttack, unlike the recently concluded ODI series. India defeated Sri Lanka by 93 runs in the first match.

This was India's biggest T20I win (93 runs) in terms of runs. Sri Lanka, chasing 181 were bowled out on just 87 inside 20 overs.

While Indian bowlers broke the visitor's back, MS Dhoni got another record to his name from behind the stumps. Before the match, Dhoni was just two short of recording the most number of dismissals as a wicket-keeper in the shortest format of the game. 

The veteran India cricketer stumped Asela Gunaratne & Thisara Perera and caught Upul Tharanga & Kusal Perera to become the wicket keeper with most dismissals in T20Is.

MS Dhoni took the count of his total dismissals to 74 (47 catches and 27 stumpings). He went past AB de Villiers who has 72 dismissals (65 catches and 7 stumpings) to his name.

Dhoni hasd also scored a well-paced 39* runs off 22 balls. His innings included 4 fours and 1 six of the last ball of innings.

His partner in death overs in this game, Manish Pandey also scored a quick 32* off 18 balls. He revealed the tips Dhoni gave to him and said the former Indian skipper asked him to move across which can help him deal with the wide yorkers.

After the Cuttack T20I, Indore and Mumbai will host the second and third matches on December 22 and 24 respectively.
