IRE vs IND 2018: I bowled as per coach's advice, says Yuzvendra Chahal

Team India under Virat Kohli completed a series win against Ireland at Malahide in Dublin when the  won the second T20I played out on Saturday. 

Chasing 214 for victory, Ireland were bowled out for 70 inside 13 overs as India won the match by 143 runs. The Indian wrist spinners were the architect of the bowling attack as the duo shared six wickets between them  to take India to victory. 

This was after KL Rahul (70) and Suresh Raina (69) provided the platform which India to 213 at the end of their innings. The impetus at the end was provided by Hardik Pandya who scored 32 off just 9 balls. 

In the post-match presentation, Yuzvendra  Chahal spoke regarding his successful outing.  “The wicket was turning. The coaches told me that you must plan according to the wicket. I was mixing the pace up according to the batsman’s thinking, so I bowled four quick ones, and then tossed up the last one (Balbirnie’s wicket)" Chahal said. 

Chahal also highlighted the importance of their net sessions ahead of the match when he said " “Sometimes the nets are useful because they are some of the best in the world. If you bowl well to them, you get more confidence if they can’t hit you and you can use it as your ball in the match". 

They will now look to start of their T20I series against England on a winning note. The opening T20I will be played on third July. For his impressive performance in both the matches, Chahal was awarded as the Man of the Series.
