India began their big tour of Ireland and England with a massive win, as the Men in Blue defeated the Irish team by 76 runs in the first T20I match at The Village, Dublin.

Ireland put India to bat first and both the Indian openers gave a brisk start and added 160 runs for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan scored 97 and 74 respectively and helped their team to set a target of 209 runs for Ireland.

In response, Ireland looked clueless against the spin duo of  Kuldeep Yadav (4/21) and Yuzvendra Chahal (3/38) and could manage only 132 runs in 20 overs. Second and last T20I will be played on June 29 at the same venue.

100 - This was 100th T20I match for Indian team and they are the seventh team to play 100 or more T20Is. Pakistan was the first team to play 100 T20I games.

160 - Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan's 160 runs partnership is the second best partnership for any wicket for India in T20I format.
