Amidst plenty of expectations, the Indian cricket team embarked on their UK tour on Saturday (June 23). The Men in Blue will start their much-awaited UK trip with a two-match Twenty20 series against Ireland in Dublin on June 27 and 29.

There is a lot of buzz surrounding around the Ireland T20I series as it will be India’s first international assignment after the seven weeks of fireworks in IPL 2018. Although Virat Kohli and company are firm favourites for this contest, they don’t want to give an inch to the hosts.

Ahead of the first T20I at The Village, Dublin on Wednesday, Indian players were seen sweating it out at the nets in an intense practice session.

On Tuesday (June 26), the official Twitter account of BCCI posted a video with a caption stating: “Training ✅ An intense training session for #TeamIndia ahead of the two T20Is against Ireland. #IREvIND”.

In the little clip, the likes of MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, skipper Virat Kohli and KL Rahul can be seen practicing a range of shots with chief coach Ravi Shastri observing them from close quarters.

Following the Ireland T20Is, India will play a couple of limited-overs series (3 T20Is and 3 ODIs) against England from July 3 before featuring in a five-match Test series from August 1.
