Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 witnessed some brilliant performances with the bat and ball. The contest was enthralling to watch as small scores were defended and on the other hand, most numbers of sixes (872) were also hit in this season.

After cricket experts like Harsha Bhogle and Shane Warne, Mohammad Kaif named his top XI from IPL 2018. The XI may not satisfy everyone as many star performers are left out from the team, but with so many quality performers coming out this year, it is difficult to frame them all in just 11 vacant places.

First big name who missed a place in former India cricketer's XI was Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Kane Williamson even after holding the Orange Cap this season with 735 runs.

Sunil Narine got picked for the opening spot along with Kings XI Punjab steadfast batsman KL Rahul. For number 3 position, Kaif chose Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Ambati Rayudu even though he didn't bat at that position for his team. Rayudu either opened the innings or played at number 4. But the 32-year-old isn't a bad addition for one down considering form and the way he can be used as a floater by his team.

Kaif added four wicket-keepers in his team. After Rahul, the other three are youngster Rishabh Pant at number 4 and MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik for the finishing role. For exploits at the end, Andre Russell was picked at number 7 position.

Rashid Khan, Sidharth Kaul, Andrew Tye and Jasprit Bumrah are the most trusted bowlers for Kaif from this season.
