On the eve of the IPL 2018 final, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni has lauded the consistency of young Indian fast bowlers. Dhoni, who will lead CSK to the seventh final in the cash-rich event on Sunday (May 27), stated that the emergence of young pacers have been the biggest positive for Indian cricket from this year’s IPL.

"I think every season of IPL has produced very good Indian domestic players, who have come up and have done well for their respective teams," Dhoni quoted as saying by PTI.

"What is slightly different is that this season, we have seen a lot of Indian fast bowlers coming in (and) playing consistently and they have executed very well. So that is a big positive for Indian cricket,” he added.

Dhoni has Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar at disposal for his CSK side. The duo have performed exceptionally well this season. Other young pacers who have grabbed the headlines this year are Shivam Mavi and Prasidh Krishna.

"Their exposure to some of top batters and how well they can execute and how quick they can bowl when it is needed and what line and length they can bowl," Dhoni cited.

CSK will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the summit clash of IPL 2018 tonight. The Chennai-based franchise have come out on top in all the three encounters against Hyderabad this season. CSK have qualified for the final by beating SRH in the first qualifier on Tuesday (May 22).
