Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is all set to feature in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the seventh time most by any franchise and former Indian skipper Kris Srikkanth credited team-work and MS Dhoni’s brilliant captaincy for CSK’s success in the tournament so far.

Dhoni’s incredible leadership to specify roles to every player clearly, and to fight as a unit instead of depending on the same set of players in all matches is the formula of their success in the tournament, which makes them a different franchise than others in the history of the IPL, says Kris.

In his column for the Times of India, Srikkanth wrote, “It should come as no surprise that Chennai Super Kings are in the seventh final out of the nine seasons they have competed in. The formula for success is simple: fight as a unit rather than be dependent on the same set of players in all matches.”

He also praised Dhoni for his outstanding leadership skills, saying “No amount of praise is enough for MS Dhoni for making his players believe that nothing works better than a collective force. Chennai’s happy state is also due to the fact that each player knows his responsibility and role.”

The Men in Yellow will lock horns against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2018 with the aim to clinch the title for the third time at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on 27 May (Sunday).
