Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 13 runs in the second qualifier and made it into the finals of the IPL 2018.

Defending 175, Sunrisers restricted Knight Riders at 161/9. It was an all-round performance by Rashid Khan (34* & 3/19) to win the game for his team single-handedly.

After getting knocked out of the tournament, KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan lauded his team for a good fight throughout the league. They were undermined before the IPL 2018 started and with a new captain very less believed in them. However, they still managed to match their reputation and qualify for top 4 when teams like Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore had to struggle.

SRK tweeted that now he will have to cancel his flight to Mumbai, but he praised KKR for the entertainment. "Well was not to be. Will have to cancel my flight but KKR well done. U did yourself proud. All of u so so well done. Love you & yes I am smiling. Thks for the entertainment & so many moments of glory. V r an awesome team!", Shah Rukh tweeted.

In another tweet, he called his captain Dinesh Karthik a fabulous leader. Karthik had performed brilliantly with the bat whenever needed. His dismissal in the second qualifier was one of the rare failures this season which eventually reflected in the result.

When Karthik was appointed as captain everyone was shocked but it turned out to be a decent decision. "@DineshKarthik u r a fabulous leader. A special thanks to the management which made this possible despite naysayers...@VenkyMysore @jacqueskallis75 #Simon Katich #Heath Streak #Andrew Leipus @adrian_leroux @arsrikkanth & all of u. #KKRHaiTaiyaar," SRK wrote.
