Eden Gardens is currently hosting the second qualifier game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Dinesh Karthik won the toss and elected to bowl first. After a sedate start in the powerplay, Sunrisers lost Shikhar Dhawan (34) in the seventh over as Kuldeep struck twice. First, he dismissed Dhawan and then Kane Williamson (3) off the final ball of the over.
Just when Shakib Al Hasan (28) was looking good, Kuldeep ran him out at the non-striker's end. Wriddhiman Saha (35) who was dismissed by Chawla was a crucial wicket too.
Midway through the SRH innings, the KKR spinners stifled the run scoring as they bowled tight lines and length. In the death overs, Carlos Braithwaite started his innings with a six in the seventeenth over, but a good piece of fielding at the point boundary from Nitish Rana saw Braithwaite getting run out for 8 off just 4 balls.
The KKR pacers then got a wriggle on as Mavi dismissed Yusuf Pathan for just 3 pegging the SRH innings further. Interestingly, then it was Rashid Khan doing it with the bat this time for SRH as he scored a quickfire 34 off 10 deliveries to trigger the SRH score to 174 for 7.
KKR now needs to score 175 to win the match and take on CSK in the finals on Sunday.
Here are some of the best tweets from the Sunrisers' innings:
Late brilliance from @rashidkhan_19 helps @SunRisers put up a fighting total. But I must say I've been highly impessed by the two young quicks Prasidh and Mavi. And then the spin trio of Narine, Kuldeep and Chawla have been phenomenal. @KKRiders #KKRvSRH #IPL2018

Kkr was happy till 17-18 but Rashid khan’s little flourish in the end surely gave momentum to #srh. Really good battle in the second half now #KKRvsSRH @IPL

Is that a game-changing knock by Rashid Khan? Certainly has made KKR dugout uneasy. What appeared an easy chase now not quite so
