Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 25 runs in the IPL 2018 Eliminator on Wednesday.

It was KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik who topped the scorecard and saved his team from getting bowled out below par score. Eventually, he and Andre Russell showed a good fight to take KKR to 169 in 20 overs. The home team was struggling at one stage with 51/4 in 8 overs.

It was obvious that the RR supporters were irritated with the Karthik's innings which avoided an easy win for them. But Rajasthan mentor Shane Warne, who was following the game from Australia, tweeted a couple of times and called the KKR skipper annoying for taking too much time which might have resulted in breaking the momentum for his team Rajasthan Royals.

RR is now crashed out of the IPL after failing to score 170 runs. They had got to a steady start after skipper Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson made the chase look easy with their 46 and 50 respectively.

But after their wickets, it seemed like they are nowhere in the game. RR could only score 1 six and 3 fours in last 10 overs and fell 25 runs short of KKR.

Warne's tweet came after RR scored a good 87 in first 10 overs losing only 1 wicket. He wrote, "Come on you @rajasthanroyals! We’ve got this 83 of 60 balls with 9 wkts in hand ! If my man @IamSanjuSamson gets 70+ as predicted & the skipper Jinx keeps a cool head then we’ve got this ! Ps how annoying is the KKR skipper DK, get on with the game please !"

KKR were too good in the second half Rajasthan's innings but Warne's only attention was on Karthik, who wasn't allowing the game to move quickly. "74 runs off 48 balls & 9 wkts in hand. Come on @rajasthanroyals @IamSanjuSamson & the skipper Jinx. Let’s not leave to much to do at the end ! Let’s win this in the 18th over !!!!!  Ps Agree re the KKR skipper ? Still taking forever - get on with the game," the former Aussie wrote.
