Kolkata Knight Riders progressed to the Qualifier 2 after they defeated Rajasthan Royals by 25 runs in the eliminator at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. And now in Qualifier 2, Kolkata Knight Riders will face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday night at the same venue.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to field first and their bowlers gave them a great start as they reduced Knight Riders to 24/3 in the 4th over but captain Dinesh Karthik's 52 runs and Andre Russell's 49* runs helped KKR to post a good total of 169/7. In the chase, Rajasthan Royals were 87/1 after 10 overs but in the last 10 overs they could manage only 57 runs and ended on 144/4 in the 20 overs and lost the match by 25 runs.
