Sunrisers Hyderabad are hosting Kolkata Knight Riders in a must-win game for the latter in Hyderabad. Powered by the opening stand of  79 between Sreevats Goswami (35) and Shikhar Dhawan (50), the duo laid the platform for a good score on the board. Dhawan was dismissed as soon as he reached his fifty as Kane Williamson scored 36 and in the process has become the leading run scorer in IPL 2018 with 661 runs above KL Rahul with 652.

KKR bowlers pulled things back in the death overs with crucial wickets as the SRH batsmen lost the plot. From 127 for 2 in the 13th over, SRH finished at 172 for 9. They scored 45 runs in the last six and it has to be said that they fell well short from where they would have wanted to finish.

Prasith Krishna struck twice in his final over as he gave away just 4 and ended the spell on 4 for 30. Russell, Narine and Kuldeep and Searles took one each to limit the SRH batsmen.

KKR importantly needs to win this match when they come out to chase 173, else they will have to rely on other results to qualify for the playoffs.
