Watching Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers batting in full flow is a visual treat to the eyes. The duo had put on a batting clinic against the Delhi Daredevils last Saturday (May 12) to keep RCB’s playoff hopes alive in the ongoing Indian Premier League. Virat and AB had shared a breathtaking 118-run stand off 64 balls to script a 5-wicket win over DD at Kotla.

Chasing Delhi’s stiff target of 182, RCB were reduced to 18/2 in the third over before Kohli-De Villiers masterclass rescued them out of the deep hole. Both the master batsmen dazzled the capacity Kotla crowd with some jaw-dropping strokes.

While Virat played a splendid knock of 40-ball 70, De Villiers remained not out on 72 runs off 37 balls to guide RCB home with an over to spare. Kohli’s innings was comprised of 7 fours and 3 sixes whereas AB entertained the jam-packed stadium by hitting 4 boundaries and 6 audacious sixes.

Even though it was Delhi’s home game, it seemed most of the fans had turned up to chant Kohli and ABD. Amidst thousands of cricket fanatics at Kotla, one special person who had witnessed the genius of Virat and De Villiers from the close quarters was Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

Following the match, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google had expressed his respect for the RCB batting giants by tweeting: “Was lucky to watch it live, you and @ABdeVilliers17 made it look so easy! and with classic cricketing shots too, really enjoying #IPL2018 this year”.

Almost after a week, the RCB skipper has thanked Pichai for appreciating the effort of him and De Villiers.

“Thank you @sundarpichai! Glad we could entertain you,” Virat Kohli’s reply read.
