IPL 2018: Match 52, DD vs CSK: CSK eye a top two finish with a win against DD

IPL 2018: Match 52, DD vs CSK: CSK eye a top two finish with a win against DD

The match will be played at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

CSK has all to play for against DD tonight

Placed second in the points table currently, Chennai Super Kings are looking for a top-two finish when they take on Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla. Delhi, on the other hand, will be playing for pride.

Led by a young captain Shreyas Iyer, Delhi has shown glimpses of promise and potential as a young team. Their batting has been led by the young Rishabh Pant along with Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw.

Delhi will be playing this game all for pride and honour. They know that they are out of the competition and will try to play a spoilsport in Chennai's campaign by adding another defeat against them. What will be their playing  XI tonight's game is difficult to predict.

MS Dhoni on the other game will take this game with prime importance as he takes every other game. Winning this game will help them finish on the top two of the points table and that is how they are looking to end their league campaign before the playoffs.

One aspect of the game which they would like to rectify is their fielding. An overaged side in the IPL CSK has been repeatedly criticized for their fielding. Another area which has kept them thinking is death bowling. Even the likes of Dwayne Bravo their death over specialist has gone for plenty in the final overs and coming into this game against some dominant batsmen CSK's death bowling will be tested.

As far as playing conditions for tonight's game is concerned, with cloud cover around, there is a slight chance of rain in the evening which might play a spoilsport in tonight's contest.
