IPL 2018: RCB v SRH – Cricket fraternity lauds 'Superman' AB de Villiers as he takes a one handed stunner

SRH are chasing 219 runs set by RCB in a must win game for RCB.

AB de Villiers caught a brilliant catch at the boundary to dismiss Hales off Ali

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore are fighting at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in the 51st match of the IPL 2018.

RCB batted first and scored 218/6 in 20 overs thanks to AB de Villiers’ 69, Moeen Ali’s 65 and Colin de Grandhomme’s 40. Rashid Khan picked 3/27 and contributed with possibly one of the best catches of the IPL.

That was until AB de Villiers came onto the scene. Alex Hales and Kane Williamson were going strong after Shikhar Dhawan got out early. Alex Hales had started to open up his arms and hit a few big ones. He got hold of a length ball from Ali and he stroked it towards mid-wicket. AB de Villiers was patrolling the area and seeing that the ball was swerving over his head, jumped with one hand out and plucked the ball out of thin air and landed inside the boundary ropes.

That catch shocked the audience in the ground and the cricket fraternity alike and everyone applauded a brilliant effort from superman AB de Villiers. Cricketers took to Twitter in order to show their appreciation for one of the best fielders in the world.

Here are some tweets from the cricket fraternity:
