After his heroics in the Nidahas Trophy final, Dinesh Karthik was shouldered with the responsibility to lead Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2018. Captaining a high-profile side for the first time in his career, the 32-year-old has done a commendable job thus far.

KKR have won 7 out of their 13 matches in this season and are currently placed at No. 3 spot on the points table, with Karthik himself playing clutch knocks on several occasions. In fact, DK is currently the highest run-getter for KKR in this season with 412 runs from 13 innings.

On Tuesday (May 15), Karthik once again proved his worth by playing an unbeaten knock of 41 runs to guide KKR home by 6 wickets against the Rajasthan Royals. Besides his match-winning innings, Karthik also pulled off an incredible stumping to get rid of RR all-rounder Stuart Binny.

The incident took place in the 12th over when Binny went down the track to play Kuldeep Yadav’s wrong one. However, the batsman failed to pick it as the ball turned away past the bat with Karthik whipping the bails off in a flash.

Karthik’s sharp work behind the stumps certainly left Binny bemused before he eventually made his way to the pavilion. Stuart Binny made 1 runs off 4 balls as Rajasthan Royals set a target of 143 for KKR.
