Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) outplayed Rajasthan Royals (RR) as Kuldeep Yadav picked wickets in a cluster to make sure his team left no stone unturned to stay in top 4 of the IPL points table.

The Chinaman walked back with a 4-wicket haul which wass his best bowling figures in IPL.

Kuldeep had picked only 9 wickets in last 12 matches before this game. Going by his reputation, his side needed a bigger contribution from him and he didn't disappoint at the stage when it matters the most. The ball was gripping well and it was enough for the unorthodox spinner to bowl a dream spell at Eden Gardens, where he picked up his first ODI hat-trick, against Australia, last year.

The 23-year-old spinner spoke about his performance after the game. He described all his four scalps in this game. The inform Jos Buttler was the biggest threat for KKR and Kuldeep said a quicker one was enough for him after setting him up with slow deliveries.

"If he had played for 10 more overs, the score would have been 170-180. Everything went according to my plan. For me it was the best wicket," he said about Buttler's wicket.

Ajinkya Rahane couldn't read Kuldeep's wrong one while attempting a reverse sweep, which ended up shattering his stumps and RR's hope.

The India cricketer explained the presence of Shane Warne helped him kept going. Warne is the mentor of Rajasthan in his season.

"I'm always a big fan of him (Warne). He has been my idol. I always get a different kind of motivation when I play in front of him. I wanted to put up a good show in front of him," Kuldeep said.
