Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is signaling a strong comeback in the IPL 2018. Almost every game at the last stage of IPL is a knockout encounter and KKR is well aware of that. No wonder they have tried to up the ante for qualification in the top 4. They had to because there are other 4 teams who are also battling for the position.

The Dinesh Karthik led team defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Eden Gardens by 6 wickets. They now stand at number 3 in the points table and that would have relived the team owner Shahrukh Khan after things were looking out of hand a few days ago.

KKR were humiliated by Mumbai Indians (MI) on May 9; 41st match of IPL 2018. MI had outplayed them in all aspects and won the game by a huge margin of 102 runs.

SRK was disappointed with the effort more than the loss. He tweeted and apologized to the fans. "Sports is about the spirit & wins/losses don’t reflect that. But tonite as the ‘Boss’ I need to apologize to the fans for the lack of spirit," wrote the King of Bollywood.

But back to back win has restored the faith in fans and the team owner Shahrukh as well. He seems very happy with the win in their last group stage game at Eden Gardens. "And smiles to go...and keep from @DineshKarthik to me. Well done @imkuldeep18 with ball & interviews. @lynny50 who is getting sane! @prasidh43 @ShivamMavi23 & @SunilPNarine74 is Sunil!", Shahrukh wrote on Twitter after the win.

Kuldeep Yadav had turned the game on his head for KKR. After a storming start by Rajasthan opener Rahul Tripathi and Jos Buttler, the chinaman bowler took things in his hand and bagged 4 wickets to restrict RR on just 142/10.

The chase would have been tricky but skipper Karthik led the team from the front and eventually won the game with his 41 not out. KKR fans turned out in numbers to support their team in both good and bad stage.

SRK didn't miss out to thank them for the continuous support no matter the result. "Thank you Kolkata Fans for always being there. You are the best of the best in IPL. Last home game in the league sorry wasn’t there. #KKRHaiTaiyaar," he tweeted, sharing a picture.
