Rishabh Pant had to clarify a rumor that was doing rounds on social media. A statement of his against the BCCI selectors was all over the internet after his innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) of 128* runs.

Indian squad for the upcoming overseas tour to England was announced and as per the fake statement viral on social media, Pant said that he was unhappy with the selectors not picking him for India team and all his disappointment came out on SRH bowlers.

Pant took to Twitter on Sunday to make it clear that it was a hoax. "I never said anything like that it so just giving out my clarification. So please stop spreading rumors and let me concentrate on my cricket," wrote Pant.

The fake statement of the 20-year-old was posted by a parody news channel Twitter account, which everyone thought as truth and it was spread all over the internet.  "I was angry with the selectors for not selecting me in Indian Senior Team against Afghanistan, England or even Ireland. All my anger came out tonight in form of those shots. Hope they saw my innings & realized I deserve a place in Indian Team," the statement read.

Pant is the Orange Cap holder currently in this tournament for most runs. His name was missing from the India's tour of Ireland in a two-match T20I series, followed by 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs against hosts England.

The youngster has scored 582 runs in IPL 2018. The Delhi Daredevils (DD) wicket-keeper averages 52.90.
