England’s Jos Buttler has once again single-handedly won an IPL 2018 match for Rajasthan Royals (RR) by smashing another magnificent half-century against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday (13 May).

It seems that Buttler has decided to come into the ground with an aim to win the game for Royals every time, in a bid to qualify for the IPL 2018 Playoffs, as RR has won their last three matches because of this Englishman.

At Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, Buttler has displayed another stunning inning, hammering 94 off 53 balls, in which he cracked 9 boundaries and 5 sixes to help RR to beat the hosts by 7-wickets.

With the win, MI has officially out of the tournament, while RR is still in the contention for the IPL 2018 playoffs with remaining two matches that they have to win to qualify for the next stage.

As per reports in Indian Express, Buttler has revealed that his prior experience of playing at the Wankhede helped him to adapt conditions quickly to play fearlessly here on Sunday.

He told reporters at the post-match conference, “Found some good form and I’m trying to keep it going. Bit of do-or-die situation for us. I’ve spent a lot of time batting in the middle order, so I try to be there till the end. Our bowlers bowled very well and restricted them to about 15 runs less. The familiarity of the ground and the wicket helped me today. Looking forward to the next game.”

On the other hand, RR captain Ajinkya Rahane elated with the win over Mumbai, while stressed on the need for improvement in the fielding department to win their next two matches.

He signed off by saying, “Great win for all of us. 168-169 on this wicket was 10-15 runs short. Jofra’s couple of wickets in that over changed the game actually. We didn’t get a partnership in the earlier games but we knew that if we get one early on, it’ll be easy to chase. The discussion before the game was to get used to the wicket as soon as possible. There’s room for improvement in the fielding department. I want the boys to stand up and do well in that.”
