Brad Hodge, the head coach of the Kings XI Punjab, has come out and stated that he believes Indian Premier League is giving the exposure to the young Indian talent which is the best young talent in the cricketing world.

When he was asked about the best thing about the Indian Premier League by the SportStar in an interview recently, Hodge said, "The quality of local talent, which is amazingly different from any other country, the right number of foreigners in a side, the fact that the teams are owned by major film stars and industrial bigwigs and of course the Indian crowds have all made IPL the best in the world"

Talking about the impeccable ability of KL Rahul, Chris Gayle and Mujeeb Zadran for Kings XI Punjab this year and about the importance of spending the money well at the auction to get players like these. He said,  "Well, those decisions may have looked debatable at the time. But I believe money shouldn’t be the criterion when it comes to getting the right players you wanted"

"This team has the potential to go all the way and win the title. We have already scored some good wins in the tournament"

Brad Hodge also talked about the leadership of Ravichandran Ashwin for Kings XI Punjab this season. He praised Ashwin by saying, "Yes, but that(his excellent tactical nous) hasn’t surprised me. He has always been a good student of the game"

When asked about just how good KL Rahul is as a player, he said,  "What a talent! We knew he was a potential orange-cap holder and that is why we paid so much for him. He has been brilliant from the first match, in which he played those amazing shots against Jasprit Bumrah over cover"
