Ab De Villers was awarded the Man of the Match for his exceptional, stormy innings of 72 that took the visitors to a comprehensive win. Team Circle of Cricket gets down to list the 5 talking points of the match.

Royal Challengers Bangalore handed the ball to Yuvi Chahal to start off the proceedings. Chahal bowled brilliantly upfront taking both the openers cheaply. Prithvi Shaw was departed in the first over with Jason Roy joining him soon in the dugout.

Chahal has been very effective for Royal Challengers Bangalore in this season of IPL with taking wickets upfront. The right-arm offspinner tries to provide early breakthroughs for the team.

Pant fires again

Despite DD openers falling early, Rishabh Pant kept on striking the ball out of the park. He continued hammering deliveries in the same way he did in the previous match. He scored 61 off 34 deliveries including 5 fours and 4 sixes to set the temperament of the game. He has always been performing well for the Delhi Daredevils and in today's match as well he was on top, scorching up those boundaries.

His knock of 61 runs led him to take back his Orange cap back from Kl Rahul and if he keeps on batting like this no one will able to take the cap from him.

Young Abhishek's cameo takes DD to 181

After Pant's wicket was down, young Abhishek Sharma took the responsibility to hit the ball out of the park in his maiden IPL match. Abhishek scored 46 runs off just 19 deliveries to take his home side to a total of 181. He is the youngest player to score more than 45 runs as earlier it was Sarfaraz Khan of RCB to score unbeaten 45.

The young lad played his first ever IPL match for Delhi Daredevils and has totally impressed everyone with his all-around performance. If he continues to perform like this then definitely a day will come where he will be representing India's side.

Virat scored 70 runs whereas Ab De Villers batted till the end for his responsive 72 to clinch a victory over Delhi Daredevils at New Delhi. While both the players were batting, the match was in total control of the visitors.

Bangalore beat Delhi Daredevils by 5 wickets

A much needed win for RCB. (IANS)
Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match after beating Delhi by 5 wickets in a must-win situation.RCB has got a good game under the belt, barring the bowling at the death. Kohli and AB have come good in the same game and we heard Kohli say they love chasing. The test for them though would be to chase challenging scores on pitches that are slightly tougher for batting. They next play Kings XI at Indore and the batsmen will be waiting to jump onto the plane to Indore because that is one lovely road out there at the Holkar stadium.
