It was AB de Villiers who finished the job for RCB by scoring an unbeaten 72 as Banglore notched up an important win against Delhi to stay alive in the tournament.
Yet again it was a Kohli - De Villiers partnership which set the chase up for Bangalore after they lost their top order early. The duo added 118 run partnership by displaying some free-flowing strokeplay and treating the Kotla crowd. Though Amit Mishra dismissed Kohli on 70, De Villiers continued on his merry way and ensured that he was at the wicket-taking his team to victory.
This win thus brings RCB's campaign back to life as they go up to 8 points to stay within an outside chance for the playoffs.
Earlier, it was yet againRishabh Pant attacking strokeplay and his innings of 61 along with Abhishek Sharma's quickfire cameo (46 off 19) which triggered the DD to a total of 181.
The pitch became easier to bat in the second innings and then it was all about Kohli and AB de Villiers putting on a show together. Twitterverse thus were treated to some exquisite batting display by the two RCB stalwarts as they ensured they finish the job for their team.
Here are some of the best tweets on the Kohli - AB partnership.
