Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming was lavished praise on Rajasthan Royals’ Jos Buttler, saying the Englishman snatched the game from his team at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on 11 May.

He also said that the Yellow brigade came with the proper plan according to the Jaipur wicket but Buttler flushed water out on it.

On Friday (11 May), Buttler played a match-winning innings of an unbeaten 95 off 60 balls, in which he smacked 11 boundaries and 2 sixes to help Royals to beat high-flying CSK in Jaipur to keep RR in contention of making it to the IPL 2018 playoffs.

Fleming said they were speechless as their bowlers continuously failed to stop Buttler from hitting, which built a fair bit of pressure on the Men in Yellow. Even, the CSK coach is still unable to accept that the Jaipur encounter has not gone their way as they neede to win that to secure playoffs berth.

Now, MS Dhoni and his players have to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday (13 May) in Pune to qualify for the IPL 2018 playoffs if they want the end of their waiting.

As per reports in Cricketnext, Fleming said, “Buttler played a very good inning on a difficult track. A fair bit of pressure was built with the way he played. It was a great lone hand and we had no real answers. He was able to take the conditions out of play. However, he still found it difficult as the game went on.”

He further went on to explain, “Buttler got some momentum through the first six overs. But the game was pretty even after we got a couple of wickets. But we were hoping that as the pitch got slower, we could create some opportunity with our slower bowlers. We came very much planned to the conditions of the wicket rather than the plans with Buttler.”

Meanwhile, the CSK coach doesn’t think that their total was the reason of the defeat. Fleming signed off by saying, “I felt we were just about par. we lost some wickets at key times and their death bowling is very good. That was, I was pretty comfortable with the score that we got.”
