Royals Challengers Bangalore might miss the services of their ace skipper Virat Kohli in tonight’s clash against the Delhi Daredevils at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

As per the reports in Sportstar, Kohli is unwell and did not turn up for the practice session on the eve of the game. Reports further suggest that the 29-year-old RCB skipper is in all probability will miss the game if he fails to recover in time.

Proteas batting maverick AB de Villiers will be an automatic choice to lead the side if Virat gets ruled out. De Villiers, who has led South Africa in limited-overs cricket, is yet to lead the RCB franchise during his eight-year association with them. About a week ago, De Villiers had to miss two games for RCB due to illness.

Kohli's absence will certainly be a big blow for the Bangalore side which is already placed at the seventh spot on the points table. In the ongoing Indian Premier League, Kohli has been the stand-out batsman for RCB with 396 runs from 10 games.

Having lost seven of their 10 matches this season, RCB are more or less out of contention for the playoffs berth. Nonetheless, they still have a mathematical chance if manage to turn things around in the remaining four games.
