Delhi Daredevils’ Rishabh Pant has been continuously dominating the headlines and receiving praise from cricket legends for his maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 century on 10 May.

The 20-year-old left-hander played a magnificent inning of 63-ball-128* against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in an IPL 2018 encounter in Delhi. But Pant’s heroics with the bat could not save the match for the hosts, eventually lost by 9-wickets at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground.

Recently, the former Indian captain, Dilip Vengsarkar has joined the youngster’s admirer chorus, saying Pant played extremely well against the table topper Hyderabad on Thursday.

As per reports in Press Trust of India, Vengsarkar told reporters about Delhi’s wicket-keeper batsman, “I saw him (Pant) yesterday. He played superbly. Some of the shots were innovative and I have never seen those shots before. He played extremely well yesterday.”

Meanwhile, Vengsarkar has shifted his attention toward Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Dinesh Karthik, saying he is a big fan of the Tamil Nadu man. He signed off by saying, “Yes definitely, DK is another good player, fantastic player, I am a huge fan of DK.”

Noteworthy, 10 May’s IPL 2018 match saw both positive and negative results in Delhi, as the hosts are officially out of the race for the Playoffs, while Hyderabad made it.

However, as far as Pant is concerned, a beautiful future in Indian cricket is designed for the Delhi left-hander and its just time before he gets a nod to join the Indian cricket team as a permanent member in the line up.
