Rajasthan Royals won the match by 4 wickets against the Chennai Super Kings at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Jos Buttler was awarded the Man of the Match for his exceptional, stormy innings of 95 that took the host to a comprehensive win.  Team Circle of Cricket gets down to list the 5 talking points of the match. 

 

Raina scores crucial 52 for CSK

Suresh Raina, The Chennai's run machine batted brilliantly up in the order for his 52. He also registered his 34th half-century of Indian Premier League and has become the first batsman to score 4000 runs for Chennai Super Kings. His experience and batting skills helped the visitors reach a competitive total.

Suresh Raina is the only batsmen in Indian Premier League to score 300 runs in every season of IPL. The way he is batting shows how he can make a difference for India in the upcoming clash with England.

 

 MS Dhoni takes CSK to 176

Mahendra Singh Dhoni again remain unbeaten for his well made 33 runs that took the team to a total of 176. Dhoni's cameo included 2 boundaries. Yet, they managed to finish with 176 on the back of late cameos from MS Dhoni and Sam Billings, who added 55 for the fourth wicket. 

The pair managed a 50-run stand, one that had lots of running between the wickets with the pair only managing four fours and a six between them. Their partnership was crucial as off at one Chennai was struggling with the bat.

 

Stokes-Buttler powerplay partnership

Rajasthan Royals, the home team had a change in their batting order, they introduced Ben Stokes with Jos Buttler up in the top order. Ben Stokes opened the innings for Rajasthan for the first time in his IPL career and again he failed to show up with the bat. Jos Buttler was in his usual form, striking the ball all over the ground. The left-hand allrounder is having a very regretful season of IPL.

They both added 48 runs for the first wicket. Rajasthan came out with the right intent of attacking the new ball because it would become so much harder once the ball becomes softer. Buttler attacked from the onset, kickstarting the innings with three consecutive fours off David Willey.

During the match, Chennai Super Kings dropped the explosive right-hand opener thrice due to which he repeated his daily routine work on the field. He smashed his fourth consecutive half-century to win the game for his franchise. Jos Buttler yet again hammered one half-century to take his team home. 

The wicket-keeper batsman scored 95 off 60 deliveries to win off from Chennai Super Kings at home. Jos Buttler batting was brilliant to watch as this was one of his best performances in IPL 2018. The latter played a match-winning knock for RR in a must-win situation.

Rajasthan Royals won the match by 4 wickets after beating Chennai Super Kings at home. A gritty Rajasthan Royals prevailed at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur after Jos Buttler arranges sensational chase on a tough pitch to keep them alive in the tournament with a four-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings. Buttler started off strong, but despite being set back by fatigue as the innings progressed, he didn't relent, reaching his highest IPL score of an unbeaten 95 off just 60 balls to give Rajasthan a much-needed win. 

Now as Mumbai, Kolkata and Rajasthan will fight for the fourth spot, it will be interesting to see how they manage to win their remaining matches in IPL 2018. Chennai will travel to Pune for a Sunrisers's test on May 13, while Rajasthan is off to Mumbai to face off against MI on the same day. The win, however, keeps Rajasthan glued to the sixth place on the points table, tied along with Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians on 10 points, while Chennai is still second, four points behind of SRH.
