Delhi Daredevils’ (DD) young batting sensation Rishabh Pant took the social media by storm following his terrific innings in an IPL 2018 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday (10 May) at home.

At the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground, Pant hammered a tremendous knock of 128* off 63 balls, hitting 15 boundaries and 7 balls out of the park, but unfortunately, it could not save the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 match for the DD against the SRH, lost by 9-wickets.

However, the young wicket-keeper batsman is all over the social media after his mind-blogging innings against the SRH, receiving applauds from Cricket Pundits, former greats of the game to fans.

Meanwhile, Delhi witnessed a couple of miscommunication between the hosts’ batsmen that saw run-outs here, which was one of the reasons for their defeat against SRH that led them to out of the IPL 2018.

The 20-year-old, who was also led two run-outs, says though it was part and parcel of the game, but it motivated him to play maturely and “take extra responsibility for the team”.

As per reports in PTI, Pant said, “Happens, it was miscommunication. I just misjudged the run. Part and parcel of the game. After a couple of run outs, I just wanted to take extra responsibility for the team.”

It was his maiden T20 ton, but the left-hander refused to term it as best, yes, certainly there are more to come on his way. He signed off by saying, “I was just trying to see the ball and hit it cleanly. Took my time early on and things worked out well. (Whether it’s his best knock) Not sure right now, but it’s certainly among my best ones.”
