Ishan Kishan, who is known to entertain the crowd with his dazzling strokeplay, was in full flow during Mumbai Indians’ clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday (May 9).
Kishan scored a blistering 21-ball 62 (5 fours and 6 sixes) against KKR that helped MI to pile up a mammoth 210/6 in 20 overs.
The highlight of Ishan’s jaw-dropping knock was his wristy helicopter shot off Kuldeep Yadav. The ball was in his arc and the southpaw used his malleable wrists to whip it over the cow corner. Notably, it was Kishan’s fourth consecutive six off Kuldeep that shifted the momentum towards Mumbai.
Soon after the shot, cricket fans started drawing parallels between Ishan Kishan’s wristy helicopter strike with CSK skipper MS Dhoni, who is known to be the inventor of this stoke.

While defending the massive total, MI bowlers wreaked havoc on the KKR batting line-up and bundled them out for 108 to register a thumping 102-run victory. None of the KKR batsmen crossed the mark of 30 runs whereas Pandya brothers (Krunal and Hardik) claimed 2 wickets each or the defending champions.
