IPL 2018: Rashid Khan reveals the names of former cricketers who has inspired him

Rashid Khan, a household name in the world of cricket, has emerged from a terrorism stricken country –Afghanistan and is known for his artistic leg spin across the globe.

Since making his debut for Afghanistan, the 19-year-old has achieved a quite lot of laurels on the field whether be it domestic tournaments or Internationals in a very short span of time.

Now, Rashid has all abilities to bamboozle any dangerous batsman in the world with his magical leg-spin bowling.

Even, the mystery spinner has played a crucial role in Afghanistan’s rise into the game of cricket, as they are now equally counted in the world cricket, especially after getting Test status.

At the moment, Rashid is playing his trade for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, where he has already hogged fame for his bowling, has been playing a vital role in SRH’s success in the tournament, where he has taken 13 wickets in 10 games so far.

Recently, the Nangarhar-born Rashid has named the players from whom he has been taking inspiration to become successful on the field and they are none other than Indian spin great Anil Kumble and Pakistan’s former leg-spinner Shahid Afridi.

As per reports in ESPNCricinfo, Rashid said, “I have watched a lot of Afridi and Anil Kumble because both of them were quick in the air and were accurate. I still watch some of their videos.”

Both greats of the game achieved a lot of success on the field in their illustrious career because of their ability to give the ball much air and instead of a hurry the batsmen with their line and pace.
