Rajasthan Royals will sport a new jersey when they play their next game against CSK in Jaipur on May 11. They will be wearing this jersey to spread cancer awareness.

In a ‘Cancer Out’ function organized at the Sawai Mansingh Medical College, Rajasthan Royals skipper Ajinkya Rahane, along with Heinrich Klassen, Mahipal Lomror and Krishnappa Gowtham, unveiled the new jersey.

Speaking about the initiative, Rahane said, “What I feel as a sportsman, it is important to have Cancer screening so that it can be detected early and can be cured. As a cricketer, we can send out a strong message. I appeal to people, whether they are fit or not, after every six months, they must come once for a health check-up.”

Previously RCB and DD have sported special jerseys for different initiatives in the IPL before. While Delhi sported lavender colored jerseys to mark the Cancer Survivor Day, RCB sports the green jersey as a part of their Go Green Initiative.

The Royals won their last match against Kings XI Punjab by 15 runs to keep their season alive. Jos Buttler scored an impressive 84 for them overshadowing KL Rahul's single-handed effort of 95 in the chase.

Royals have now a tough ladder to climp up the points table having lost way too many games at the start if the season. They face CSK in their next game which is sure to test their team's depth and character. Big players need to step up for the Royals big time to bring back their playoff chances.
