Just when everyone thought the former India skipper MS Dhoni doesn't have it in him now, he delivered. He now has less to say and more to show. The return of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has surely revived Dhoni's shorter format career.

While many counted him out in T20s, former India coach Gary Kirsten isn't amazed at his performance. “I not surprised with the form of Dhoni as he can do amazing things on the field,” Kirsten, who is batting coach with Royal Challengers Bangalore, told reporters in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.

Dhoni is hitting the ball clean and seems a lot more confident with his approach. The typical 'MSD' chase has been missing this season for good. He isn't dragging the game till last over anymore. The 36-year-old understands the importance of Net Run Rate in this tournament.

CSK are currently second in the points table, a couple of points behind Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Currently, all teams have played 10 matches each and Kirsten believes there is still a lot of twists awaits as we approach the end of the group stage matches.

“One of the things I have learned all the way is not to predict a winner for a number of reasons,” he said. “Chennai are probably the form team at the moment. But funny things can happen in the knockout stage so can’t say who will go all the way.”
