Umesh Yadav, on Monday, probably bowled the most bizarre delivery of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pacer was bowling against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) when the ball slipped out of his hand.
The batsman was SRH skipper Kane Williamson who decided to let the ball go instead of going after it.
Umesh didn't have a good grip of the ball as he was trying to bowl a knuckleball which doesn't need a proper hold on the ball. It was the 16th over and having a set batsman on the crease, bowlers try variations to fool the striker and get their wicket as soon as possible in the death overs.
After watching Umesh's delivery, RCB skipper Virat Kohli couldn't hold his laughter. However, he later backed the bowler too and clapped for him in hope of a good delivery up next.
RCB did well with the ball to restrict SRH on 146, but their batting once again let them down as they failed to chase the target -- falling 5 runs short of the target.
