Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) struggle has not come to an end in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, as they have faced yet another defeat in the tournament on Monday (7 May) at the hands of Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

RCB’s seems quite a weak side in the tournament across all aspects, as they have failed to deliver a cumulative result in the IPL 2018 so far. They have not clicked in all of the three departments taken together and therefore find themselves nearing the exit from the tournament. 

Meanwhile, RCB bowler Mohammed Siraj, who finished with the figures of 3/25 in Hyderabad, believes that they conceded 20 runs too many which made the target a little too much for the RCB, as the Hyderabad track got slower in the second innings, which costs them the IPL 2018 encounter.

Siraj said at the post-match conference, “It was a crucial match for us but unfortunately we lost. We bowled really well today against Hyderabad. I only had one plan and it was to restrict them for the lowest possible total. But they scored 20 runs too many than we aimed to restrict them to. Losses are a part of the game and ups and downs happen during the IPL. We will try an do better next time.”

At the moment, the RCB is placed at the 6 spot in the IPL 2018 points table with seven defeats out of their 10 matches that they have played so far, and their chances for playoffs almost vanished.
