Hardik Pandya’s all-round effort was one of the biggest factors in the Mumbai Indians (MI) two consecutive victories against the in-form KXIP and KKR following their drastic display in the ongoing 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.

Rohit Sharma led MI have registered a massive 6-wicket win over the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on 4 May at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore with the help of collective efforts, in which Pandya’s contribution was 23 off 13 balls and a wicket.

On Sunday (6 May) at the Wankhede Stadium, the 24-year-old all-rounder has returned with another stunning display against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), taking 2 wickets as well as scoring 35 off 20 deliveries to guide MI to a 13-run win against the Men in Purple.

For his match-winning all-round efforts, Hardik was adjudged with Man of the Match, as well as, claimed Purple Cap with his 14 wickets at an impressive average of 16.78.

Meanwhile, Hardik’s elder brother Krunal Pandya looks ecstatic his stellar performance for MI in the IPL 2018 in a video shared by Indian Premier League on their official Twitter handle.

Sr. Pandya said of Hardik, “Really happy for him. He has transformed himself as a bowler. Improved as a bowler. That's a great sign. Whatever he was bowling last and this year, he is using his brains. He is also batting and bowling well. I am happy for him.”

The off-spinner also revealed that he wanted to bowl in the last over against the KKR and he had already discussed with Rohit about it. He added, “The last match in Delhi - I had told him I wanted to bowl the last over. So he asked me to bowl the last over against KKR.”

Krunal signed off by saying, “MI are known for their fighting spirit. We will take one game at a time. We want to win games. It was a great show by all the players.”
