Umesh Yadav, the Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler, has received the Purple-Cap for becoming the highest wicket taker of the Indian Premier League season so far and he is very happy for it.
Umesh got two wickets against the Chennai Super Kings in Pune yesterday and climbed up the ladder with 13 wickets.
Umesh was released by the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the auction this year in January and he was then purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 4.20 crore. He has been one of the shining lights in RCB's darkness filled results history for the season.
After the game, receiving his cap Umesh was quoted saying that, "Feeling nice. I knew one thing, that I have pace. So I have been concentrating on line and length. Nehra paaji(Ashish Nehra) is helping me with it."
"This is good for me and getting a lot of confidence (from my performances). This purple cap is for my wife, who has been asking me when are you going to get the purple cap,"
.@y_umesh has 13 wickets and is one of the few positives from today's match ❤️
