Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the right-arm Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler and the leader of the bowling attack, has stated that their win last night against the Delhi Daredevils in the ongoing Indian Premier League season is a very important win for his team at this stage of the season.

It isn't as if it was a must-win game for SRH, being at the top of the points table with seven wins in their nine games so far and almost through to the playoffs, but Bhuvneshwar expressed it is important to never lose momentum in the toughest T20 league in the world.

Bhuvneshwar, who was himself returning from the six-game layoff because of the injury, said after the match that, “The win against DD was important because in the last three or four matches we won because of our bowling. In this match, batsmen won us the game. This is a perfect team performance where the batsmen and bowlers all are performing,”

He also talked about the bowling from his side on the night and said, “There was not much swing happening. After conceding 95 runs in the first 10 overs, we thought that it was not the end. We pulled back in the last 10 overs and gave only 68 runs,”

The Captain of SRH, Kane Williamson was quoted saying about the batting performance for his team on the night that, "With the bat, we knew the middle overs were going to be tough but wanted to build partnerships and create momentum, Yusuf was beautiful at the end. The Powerplay overs were important, and Halesy (Alex Hales) was important. An international cricketer after all. Yusuf is very experienced and can hit the ball really well. Fantastic for him to finish the game,”
