IPL 2018: Brett Lee mighty impressed with young Shivam Mavi

Brett Lee thinks Shivam Mavi is the future of Indian fast bowling.

Shivam Mavi, who was first seen at the world stage while bowling for India in the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup in Australia recently, has been gathering praise from all corners for his really quick fast bowling at such a young age and what the future holds in store for India because of young fast bowling talents like him. 

Shivam played a pivotal role in India winning the U-19 world cup when he gave his captain Prithvi Shaw, crucial breakthroughs at various stages of the innings throughout the tournament. 

He has been playing for Kolkata Knight Riders since, in the ongoing Indian Premier League season and has been showered with appreciation from various cricket experts.

Brett Lee, the former Australian fast bowler and the commentator for StarSports is not immune from the list. In fact, Lee has gone on to say that Mavi is the future of Indian fast bowling. 

He was recently quoted saying that, "I think Mavi has got everything. His actions are beautiful and he packs himself as a fully furnished bowler. With youngsters like Mavi, it's extremely important to play with confidence, enjoying the spirit of the game," 

Lee further added, "He (Mavi) knows what he is doing and it looks like he really enjoys his cricket, He knows what he is doing and it looks like he really enjoys his cricket. I think Mavi for me is the future for Indian bowlers,"
