Sanju Samson, the right hand Rajasthan Royals batsman, has come out and stated that as the Indian Premier League approaches its key stage, where the playoffs spots are close to being decided, it is time for Rajasthan Royal's key players like Ben Stokes, Jaydev Unadkat, and Jos Buttler step up and make the matchwinning impact RR needs. 

Rajasthan Royal's led by Ajinkya Rahane are languishing at the bottom of the table, with just 3 wins across their 8 games and the big reason for it has been the performances and execution of their key players. 

Ahead of tonight's match against the Kings XI Punjab. Sanju Samson has been quoted saying that, “This is the most important stage of IPL. It’s the right time for them (Stokes, Unadkat) to show what they are capable of. Hopefully, they will win it for us on Sunday,” 

He further said about the importance of start winning from now for RR that, “To be honest, there’s an added pressure. We know if we lose one more game it could get tough for us. But we are positive and desperate to turn things around. We have seen it before that Mumbai Indians, who at one stage were staring at elimination, went on to become champions. So anything can happen,” 

Sanju Samson is RR's highest run-getter of the season but reiterated its more important to win, “It doesn’t matter. The team has to win at the end of the day. Currently, that’s not the case but I hope to contribute in the remaining six games.”
