Sunrisers Hyderabad are hosting the Delhi Daredevils in the second match of Super Saturday (May 5) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Charged up with their nerve-wrecking 4-run victory over Rajasthan Royals two days ago, the spirited DD side put on another strong performance this evening led by the 18-year-old Prithvi Shaw.

After opting to bat first, Delhi surprised everyone by sending the swashbuckling Glenn Maxwell to open the innings with Prithvi Shaw. Maxi’s new role didn’t pan out according to the plan as the Aussie batsman, unfortunately, got run-out to Sandeep Sharma’s instinctive brilliance in  the follow through.

On the other hand, Shaw carried on his good form and scored a jaw-dropping 36-ball 65 with 6 fours and 3 sixes. The 18-year-old forged an entertaining 86-run stand for the second wicket with skipper Shreyas Iyer, who also entertained the crowd with his dazzling 36-ball 44. It was Prithvi’s second fifty in IPL 2018 in 5 innings. Moreover, he also has a score of 47 to his name.

Following the dismissal of Shaw, DD lost the plot owing to some superb middle-overs bowling from the potent SRH attack. However, thanks to the blitz in the final over from Vijay Shankar (23 runs off 13 balls), DD eventually ended up with a competitive total of 163/5 in 20 overs.

Twitterati were in awe after seeing yet another Prithvi Shaw masterclass. Here are some of the top tweets hailing Shaw stellar show with the willow:
