Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who is currently standing at number 2 in the points table, have struggled in the last couple of games to maintain their consistent performance. Their death bowling has been awful which has affected them on points tally.

Sunil Gavaskar thinks CSK skipper MS Dhoni should reconsider his decisions and wants Ambati Rayudu to play higher in the batting order. As per Gavaskar's column for TOI, CSK should give Rayudu more overs to play considering his current form.

“Dhoni will have to re-look the tactic of sending Faf du Plessis up the order for it means that the in-form batsman and orange cap holder Ambati Rayudu gets fewer overs to play. He also has to look for the big shots before getting set and that's never easy,” Gavaskar penned.

The former India cricketer is also surprised by the fact that Dwayne Bravo, the batsman is underutilized in this tournament. He should bat over Ravindra Jadeja, who hasn't delivered for the Super Kings yet.

“His non-use of Dwayne Bravo at Eden as a batsman also was hard to understand as the Trinidadian has been in cracking form with both bat and ball than Ravindra Jadeja who is struggling a bit as could be seen with those two dropped catches off Sunil Narine,” Gavaskar added in his column.

CSK are clashing with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Saturday. It will be an important game for RCB to get 2 much-needed points, while Chennai would look to work on their flaws.
