Young Mumbai lad Prithvi Shaw has been continuously dominating the headlines since taking over the captaincy of India U19 Team, especially after 2018 ICC U19 World Cup triumph in New Zealand.

The 18-year-old is a brilliant batsman and currently making the buzz for his stunning display for Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the ongoing 11th edition of IPL 2018. The right-hander has amassed 140 runs at an incredible strike rate of 166.66 in the four matches that he has played for DD so far in the IPL 2018.

Well, Shaw already became a sensation in the Indian cricket when he made his first-class debut for Mumbai in the semi-finals of the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy and scored a century. Later, the part-time off-spinner hit a century in his Duleep Trophy debut as well and equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of hitting debut ton in both domestic tournaments. Since then, Shaw often compared with Tendulkar by many.

On Wednesday (2 May), Prithvi displayed another brilliant show with the bat against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in an IPL 2018 match in Delhi, where he cracked 47 off 25 balls including 4 fours and 4 sixes, to pave the way for Shreyas Iyer (50) and Rishabh Pant (69) to guide DD to beat RR by 4 runs.

His knock was enjoyed by everyone at the Feroz Shah Kotla Ground, and even commentators have been going gaga over this talent many times, as his strokeplay gave the glimpses of Tendulkar. The duo has many similarities like their stance and strokeplay, and even both got the fame at an early age.  After the Delhi match, fans are continuously sharing their views on how Shaw reminded them of  Tendulkar on social media.
