With the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) crossing the halfway mark of the tournament, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is eyeing to win at least four-five matches from their remaining six matches to make it to the playoffs, said young pacer Shivam Mavi on Wednesday (2 May).

Having placed at the fourth spot in the IPL 2018 points table with four wins in 8 matches that they have played so far in the tournament, KKR is eyeing successive wins over Chennai Super King (CSK) on 3 May (Thursday) at home and then struggling Mumbai Indians (MI) on 6 May (Sunday) in Mumbai.

As per reports in IANS, Mavi told reporters on the eve of KKR’s next home IPL 2018 encounter against the CSK, “We have been playing some good cricket. We have six matches to go. Our target would be to win the remaining four-five matches from here on.”

However, they might not face an uphill task against the MI, but they will certainly feel some heat while playing against the table topper CSK in Kolkata, but the 19-year-old believes the hosts just need to focus on the Yellow Army’s weakness to win the match on Thursday.

Mavi signed off by saying, “They are experienced. However, we have been doing well. We will focus on their weakness. Yes, we are a bit short on experience, but if we focus on their weakness, we will win.”
